What is Vline in the Process of?

VLine or V/Line is a passenger train and Coach service in Victoria state of Australia that serves several areas in the state including Adelaide, Canberra and Southern New South Wales. The service was first launched in the year 1983 but runs both passenger and freight trains in the state. In the year 1995, both the divisions were divided but formed separate bodies the year 1997. In the year 1999, both the train services were franchised to other companies: V/Line Passenger was taken over by National Express and V/Line Freightn by Freight Victoria. The train serves 85 railway stations and number of trains and coaches in the state. It took 15,554,638 passengers to their destinations in the 2011/12 financial year.
