Oshawa City Hall is seat of the local government. It has four administrative wings which are Finance and Administration, Community Services, Strategic Initiatives and Development Services. City Council has ten councilors headed by the Mayor. It has various department such as City Clerk's office, City Manager's office, Community services, Corporate Services, Oshawa Fire Department, Utility services, City Employees Credit Union etc and it also issues animal licenses, bus passes and residential parking permits.
