Situated in Birmingham, England, the Birmingham New Street or Birmingham New Street station is considered as one of the busiest and largest Railway station that is serving as the central hub for the people of the Birmingham city. The New Street Station was established between 1846 and 1854 by the Midland Railway and London and North Western Railway (LNWR) to serve as a common station for both the Midland Railway and LNWR trains. It commenced its operation on June 1, 1854 and was depicted as the Grand Central Station at Birmingham. Later on, the station was expanded in 1885. In the 1960s, the Birmingham New Street station was renovated under the West Coast Main Line modernisation programme. Today, the station caters to about millions of passengers every year throughout the the Birmingham and its operations is administered by the Network Rail.
