MSG is a TV and Radio service that serves the Mid-Atlantic region in the United States. Focused mainly on the sport coverage of the New York City, the channel broadcasts the home games of New York Liberty, New York Rangers and New York Knicks. It is available in the New York Metro area as well as other parts of the country. A US based entertainment company, The Madison Square Garden Company, owns the operations of the channel. The history of the channel links to October 1969, when an ICE hockey game between the Minnesota North Stars and the Rangers took place. It became the continent's first regional sports channel.
