What is Ministry of Transportation Toronto in the Process of?

Ministry of Transportation Toronto is one of the operational headquarters of the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario or MTO. It is a state government owned transportation department that handles the transport infrastructure and related law in Ontario. The agency came into existence in the 1890 with the training of Provincial Road Building Instructors. Later in 1916, Department of Highways established to handle provincial highways. Department of Northern Development is formed to operate infrastructure in 1920 in Ontario. In 1972, the agency was renamed as Ministry of Transportation and Communications or (MTC) and expanded its operations throughout the state.
