What is LGA in the Process of?

LGA is Laguardia Airport that is one of the nation’s busiest which is situated on old Gala Amusement Park opened in 1939 and Very soon become Northern Queens community’s integral part. Gala Amusement Park occupied the Gala Amusement Park which is the popular destination owned by Steinway family. The park was transformed into 105 acre private flying field and was named as Glenn H. Curiss Airport later renamed as North Beach Airport. When New York City took over the airport and with the purchasing of adjoining and enlarged the ground, it re-opened with a name as New York Municipal Airport- LaGuardia Field. In 1947 the Port Authority took over the control and did many innovations and improvements.
