Eglin MPS is Military Personnel Section at the Eglin Air Force base. The Air Force base is located at the distance of approximately five kilometer from Valparaiso, Florida. United States Air Force has established this air base in the year of 1935. Initially, it was known as Valparaiso Boombing and Gunnery Base. The Air force base was rename to Eglin in honor of Lieutenant Colonel Frederic, Eglin who served Us Air force from 1891 to 1937. Colonel Eglin was killed in a crash near Alabama, and since then this air base has been named after him.
