Nebraska Child Support Exploration
Nebraska Child support is a government funded program which is administered by Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. According to the Child Support Program, the financial Benefits
and support is given directly or indirectly to the parent or guardian. The Child Support Enforcement
Program established under the Social Security Act
in 1975, is a collaboration of state, local and federal bodies and is operational in Guam, Virgin
Islands and the District of Columbia.
The program aims in promoting welfare of children by providing them financial support and medical support from their parents. The Child Support Enforcement Program provides services such as enforcing child, spousal and medical support orders, locating parents, establishing and modifying a child or medical support order and establishing paternity. All these activities are operated and monitored as per law by The Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE). Other services offered by the Nebraska Department Of Health & Human Services are in the categories of Public Health, Behavioral Health, Developmental Disabilities and Medicaid
& Long Term Care.
